Our Mission
Growing People from Every Tribe, Tongue, and Nation into Disciples
Revelation 5:9
The popular mode and method for building churches today is homogeneous, or one race of people. Revelation 5:9 has encouraged us to be intentional about our quest to build a body of believers that reflects what heaven will look like.
We are not after church "numbers", but partnering members. Christ the King Bible Fellowship wants to invest in people who desire to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose, as we understand Matthew 28:19-20, is to make them disciples of Jesus Christ.
In order to fulfill our mission statement, God’s people should purpose themselves to
wocmod
GO: Going to every nation
SHOW: Showing God’s plan for salvation
GROW: Growing all converts into disciples.
Our vision statement says that we are: “Growing People From Every Tribe, Tongue, and Nation into Disciples.” Therefore, our mission statement is: CKBF exists to make disciples of every nation by being a Bible-based, multi-ethnic fellowship of believers. We want CKBF to look like what Heaven looks like! Heaven is not going to be all Anglo-Saxon (white), African-American (black), Hispanic- American (brown), Native-American (red) or Asian-American (yellow). On the contrary, every nation (Greek word “ethnos”, which means “ethnicity”) will be represented in the kingdom of God. (Revelation 7:9) “We also want to KEEP IT REAL.” If you’re sick, hurting, discouraged, offended, let us know. Church is not the place to play act, cover up sin, remain in denial, or put up fronts.
