MISSION STATEMENT & PURPOSE The mission statement of Christ the King Bible Fellowship: “Growing People from Every Tribe, Tongue, and Nation into Disciples”
The popular mode and method for building churches today is homogeneous, or one race of people. Revelation 5:9 has encouraged us to be intentional about our quest to build a body of believers that reflects what heaven will look like. We are not after church "numbers", but partnering members. Christ the King Bible Fellowship wants to invest in people who desire to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our purpose, as we understand Matthew 28:19-20, is to make them disciples of Jesus Christ.
In order to fulfill our mission statement, God’s people should purpose themselves to:
“Christ the King Bible Fellowship exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ by being a Bible based multi-dimensional fellowship of believers.” By “Bible based” we mean that the Word of God, and not man, is the authority and source of all preaching, teaching, worship, and church government. By “multi-dimensional” we mean an intentional conglomeration of believers who are multi-ethnic by origin, multi-cultural by orientation, and multi-economic by occupation (Acts 2:44). Therefore, Christ the King Bible Fellowship is a fellowship of Common Unity in Jesus Christ where disciples grow in relation to God and with man. |
