"Consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly" - Joel 2:15

Each of you are being asked to “fast” (abstain from) all entertainment (TV, movies, radio, video, internet, etc.) the entire week and all food daily from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 the following morning. The “calling of a sacred assembly” has always signified a festive occasion.

Individuals and families will gather at home and in church for prayer, scripture reading, and discovery of God’s will for CKBF, individually and corporately in 2012.

We strongly encourage you to require your youth and children to participate on whatever level you determine is physically and spiritually healthy.

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.   You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:6­-7

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
